"SOWEIT" Helps "TianCheng" Expand Its Wings
Warm congratulations on the completion of the Tianvheng floating wind power platform, which is equipped with two 8.3MW offshore wind turbines, a total capacity of 16.6MW, a height of 219m, a wingspan of 369m, and the world's largest single unit capacity. It provides a pioneering solution for the development of offshore wind power from nearshore to deep offshore, and makes important contributions to China's energy structure optimization and clean energy supply.
The location where the "Tiancheng" settles down is located at the QingZhou IV Wind Farm in Yangiang, Guangdong. From the selection of the settling location to the decoration and the entire process of the "Tiancheng" moving in, SOWEIT provides underwater and water positioning measurement technology services, including installation area sweeping survey, full underwater suction anchor installation positioning measurement, and full process monitoring of wind turbine installation.
The sea sweeping survey provided detailed diagnostic data on the seabed flatness, seabed obstacles, and hazardous geological exploration of the installation area for the Tiancheng ship, and identified the foundation of the "Tiancheng" ship's installation area, ensuring a stable and comfortable living area for 25 years. Multiple high-precision software and hardware systems, including underwater positioning, attitude determination, and orientation, were jointly applied to measure the underwater positioning of six sets of suction anchors. The measurement results showed that the average position deviation of the six sets of suction anchors was 0.465m, the average plate eye direction deviation was 0.833 °, and the average attitude deviation was 1.330 °. The six sets of suction anchors with a height of 11.5m, a diameter of 6.5m, and a weight of 180t were rooted in the seabed like anchoring needles, ensuring that the "Tiancheng" could withstand extreme tests of wind speed of 72 meters per second and wave height of 30 meters. The final hand holding connection between the wind turbine and the suction anchor chain is an important part of the entire wind turbine installation project. Our company associates and displays the real-time position and orientation information of the wind turbine with the position of the anchor chain, and ensures accurate connection of the wind turbine through water and underwater perspective eye positioning.

The surveyors conducted multiple measurements, rechecks, and monitored the entire process to ensure the construction of the "Tiancheng" ship from three aspects: basic diagnosis, installation of the sea fixing needle, and perspective connection.
